Hey all, my name is Liana and I am a team member of the Coral reef research team here in Roatan, Honduras. A little bit about me: I am going on my second year of college with a focus in Marine Biology. Before attending college in a physical state, I spent four years in the United States Army and am currently enrolled on the inactive reserve status. I was recently accepted into the Galveston Texas A&M Marine Biology program, and am looking forward to my transfer fall of 2012. Hope you enjoy our ‘Notes from the reef’ as much as we enjoy enlightening your interest of life under the seas of Roatan Honduras. My research is called, “A comparison of macro-zooplankton abundance, DO, and pH, in the water column within Epipelagic Zones of Coral Reef Communities of Roatan, Honduras”. Thanks for following and I will be sure to try and give you all a daily update of our time here.
